Ahead of the curve since 2011

On September 27, 2011, Tweepsmap launched its map of Twitter followers, breaking audience insight down by city at a time when most tools reported nothing more than a follower count. It showed where an audience actually lived, not just how large it was.

Twitter (now known as X) had no way to schedule a thread in 2019. The Twitter composer could create threads but they had to post immediately, and no other tool filled the gap. On August 13, 2019, still operating under the Tweepsmap name, Fedica shipped thread scheduling so a full thread could queue and post itself in order with optimized timing.

There was still no way to schedule a poll on X in advance. Native polls ran in real time only. Fedica added poll scheduling on November 9, 2021, detailed in this announcement, letting a poll queue for a set time exactly like a standard post.

Fedica added Mastodon scheduling on December 6, 2022, the first social media management platform to cover the network at all. Threads, polls, and media support were live from day one, not bolted on later, as detailed here. Mastodon itself was six years old by then, but its steepest growth arrived that same fall, and most scheduling tools didn't catch up for months.

Bluesky's app was still invite-only in July 2023, with a handful of indie tools but no support from any major platform. Fedica became the first social media management platform to support Bluesky on July 19, 2023, shipping scheduling then adding analytics a few months later once there was enough usage to report on.

Pixelfed had already spent more than five years as a small, community-run alternative to mainstream photo-sharing apps by the time Fedica added support on July 19, 2024, exactly one year after Bluesky (which we noticed only while writing this page). That made Fedica the first social media management platform to schedule to Pixelfed, covering both images and video from the start.

Fedica shipped PeerTube scheduling on March 31, 2026, and became the first social media management platform to support it. PeerTube itself had been stable since October 2018, nearly eight years spent as a home for creators leaving centralized video platforms rather than a mainstream target for scheduling tools.
