Mastodon Scheduler
Why Fedica for Mastodon
Fedica added Mastodon scheduling on December 6, 2022, the first social media management tool to support the network. Threads, polls, and media worked from day one, as the original Mastodon announcement shows. Mastodon itself was six years old by then, but its steepest growth arrived that same fall.
Mastodon's open API allows deeper integration than most networks. That's why more of Fedica works on Mastodon than on almost any other platform, from analytics to follower tracking, all covered on the Mastodon tools page.
Schedule and Organize Mastodon Posts
- Pipelines: split topics or campaigns into separate content streams, each running on its own schedule, so nothing gets mixed together.
- Bulk upload images and toots to drafts, a Pipeline, or calendar slots, at any interval you choose.
- Scheduled boosts: boost a Mastodon post later, straight from the composer.
- Run more than one Mastodon account? Manage them all from a single interface.
Schedule Mastodon Threads and Polls
- Automatic numbering: number each post in a thread automatically, if you want it.
- Schedule the whole thread with Add to Pipeline or a Specific Date, the same way as a single post.
- Spread: a paid option that posts each part of the thread minutes, hours, or days apart.
- Send the same thread to Bluesky, Threads, and X from the same composer, with per-platform edits where the wording needs to differ. See Fedica's thread scheduler for the full mechanics.
- Compose one poll and post it to Mastodon, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Threads with poll scheduling, no paid plan required.
Posting Language and Content Warnings
A post tagged with the wrong language quietly misses people. Mastodon uses the language tag to decide whether readers can translate a post, how screen readers pronounce it, and whether it appears for people who filter their timelines by language.
Fedica lets you pick the language for each scheduled Mastodon post from its Custom Post options. If a post arrives with no language set, Mastodon falls back to your account's default posting language, then to your server's default. It doesn't read the text to guess. Setting your default in Mastodon's preferences is a good safety net for the posts you forget.
Content warnings work the Mastodon way. Add one to any scheduled post, text-only or with media, and readers see your warning first and choose whether to open the post.
Automate Mastodon Scheduling
- Optimal timing: let Fedica's AI optimizer pick when each post goes out.
- Choose Specific Date to set the exact date and time yourself.
- RSS Feed Posting: publish to Mastodon automatically whenever your blog or website adds something new.
- Schedule Mastodon posts from any website with Fedica's free browser extension.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is scheduling Mastodon posts free on Fedica?
- Yes. The free plan covers 10 active scheduled Mastodon items at a time, boosts included, plus unlimited drafts, and a new slot opens each time one publishes.
Does Fedica use Mastodon's built-in scheduler?
- No. Fedica keeps scheduled posts in its own queue and sends each one to Mastodon at its scheduled time. Because of that, they won't show up in the scheduled-posts list of apps like Tusky. They also don't count toward the 300 scheduled posts a Mastodon server lets each account hold. The language and content warning you picked in Fedica go out with the post when it publishes.
Can I schedule video to Mastodon?
- Video scheduling is available on Fedica's paid plans.
Can I manage more than one Mastodon account?
- Fedica manages several Mastodon accounts from a single interface.
Can I post the same content to Mastodon and Bluesky?
- Select both platforms in the composer and QuickPost sends one post to each. Switch to Custom Post when Mastodon needs its own wording, language, or content warning. The Bluesky Scheduler covers the Bluesky side.
