Social Media MCP Server for ChatGPT

Plenty of posts already start life in ChatGPT. Fedica's MCP server takes them straight from the chat to your queue: add Fedica to ChatGPT as an app, and the conversation that wrote the post can also schedule it to your connected networks. The same chat answers questions about your followers and engagement and summarizes the research reports in your Fedica account. The MCP server is included in Fedica's paid plans.

Ask About Your Numbers Instead of Exporting Them

ChatGPT reads the same data behind Fedica's own reports, so a question gets an answer from your accounts, not from general advice.

Ask ChatGPT What Fedica returns
"How is my account doing?" Quality and activity scores, follower and following counts, new followers and unfollows since the last refresh, best and least performing country and city
"Who follows me?" Follower demographics by language, timezone, gender, occupation, and age, plus follower count, activity, account age, and quality distributions
"Am I growing?" Follower, following, and post counts over time, with new followers and unfollows per period, as in follower growth tracking
"How did last month go?" Interactions, impressions, posts, engagement rates, and top posts for any date range, compared with the period before it

The follow-up question is where a chat beats a dashboard. After "how did last month go?", ask what the top posts had in common, and ChatGPT reads the posts and the numbers together. For charts, the engagement dashboard has the same figures.

From Brainstorm to Scheduled Post in One Chat

A ChatGPT brainstorm usually ends with a good draft and a chore: copy it, open a scheduler, pick a time, paste, repeat for every network. With Fedica connected, the brainstorm ends with the post already in your queue.

Here's how a launch post can go, start to finish:

  1. Ask ChatGPT when your audience is most active. It reads your best times to post from Fedica, by hour and weekday, in your own timezone.
  2. Ask for a long version for LinkedIn and a short one for X and Bluesky. One request can schedule different text for each account.
  3. Need more room? Give ChatGPT several messages and Fedica posts them as a thread, in order.
  4. Attach an image or video. ChatGPT uploads the file and writes the alt text.
  5. Pick a date and time, or send the post to one of your content calendar Pipelines.

In the screenshot, one sentence did the whole job: ChatGPT turned its own posting-time recommendations into a 4-post thread on Bluesky and Mastodon, scheduled through Fedica for 9:00 AM Eastern the next morning.

Plans change. Ask "what's scheduled?" and ChatGPT lists your pending posts, earliest first, with each one's time, Pipeline, and text. Any post that hasn't gone out can be swapped for a new version.

Turn Fedica Reports Into a Brief

Research reports take time to read. ChatGPT can read them for you and write up the part you need, whether that's a client summary or a note for your team.

  • Analyze reports: the overview and audience breakdown of a competitor, a creator you're vetting, or any third-party account.
  • Compare reports: how many followers each pair of accounts shares, and the total across all of them, from common followers.
  • Follower audits: a follower quality audit splits an audience into bots, low quality, normal, and influencer accounts and gives a final quality score.
  • Search reports: keyword and hashtag searches, including sample, full-archive, and count-only runs, filterable by sentiment when the search included it.

A report becomes readable in ChatGPT once its status in Fedica reads Complete.

Client Accounts in the Same Chat

Agencies don't need a separate setup per client. Fedica's MCP server gives ChatGPT your own account, any profiles you own, and every team account you manage, with the permissions you have on each.

Name the client in your message and ChatGPT switches to that team account's connected platforms, Pipelines, and media library.

What to Ask ChatGPT First

Open with "list my Fedica accounts." Every other request runs against one of the accounts in that list. Then try:

  • "Which of my accounts gained the most followers this month?"
  • "What was my X engagement in September, and which days stood out?"
  • "When should I post on X this week?"
  • "Turn these notes into a Bluesky and Mastodon thread for tomorrow at 9am Eastern."
  • "Summarize my latest search report for a client email."

Every Connected Account in One List

We typed "list accounts" into ChatGPT on Fedica's own login. About eight seconds later it had found 17 accounts across 3 profiles, then listed the 15 on the main Fedica profile: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Pinterest, Bluesky, YouTube, Threads, Pixelfed, TikTok, Tumblr, PeerTube, Telegram, and Google Business.

Run this one first. The list tells ChatGPT which account each later request is about, and every example below uses these same accounts.

Follower Counts Across Nine Networks

Next question: "how many followers each of my account have today?" Typos and all, ChatGPT pulled the latest counts Fedica had on October 27, 2026 and sorted them into one table, largest first.

X leads with 356,808 followers, followed by Instagram (8,081), Facebook (2,161), Threads (1,700), and Bluesky (1,466). Mastodon, LinkedIn, and TikTok come next, down to 43 on Pixelfed.

Opening nine apps to check takes a few minutes. This took about ten seconds.

Why X Engagement Fell in September

We asked for last month's engagement on @FedicaHQ. ChatGPT set September 1 to 30, 2026 against the equal-length period Fedica uses for comparison:

  • Engagements: 4,709, down 19.7% from 5,866.
  • Impressions: 84,139, down 21.9% from 107,790.
  • Engagements per impression: 5.60%.

A dashboard stops at the numbers. ChatGPT went one step further: posting volume held steady while impressions fell, so it pointed to reduced visibility as a major factor in the drop, not posting less.

An Olympics Report, Summarized on Request

No report ID needed. "What did my main Olympics research report find?" was enough for ChatGPT to open "Olympics 2024" and pull out the key findings, including an activity spike on July 30, 2024.

  • Volume: 12,671 posts and 6,460 mentions.
  • Engagement: 309,434 likes, the largest category, ahead of reposts and replies (16,938).
  • Timing: activity peaked around 11:00 UTC on July 30.

ChatGPT also caught that the report counts reposts in two separate sections (80,896 and 37,710) and warned against adding them together. That's a check worth having before the numbers land in a client deck.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Fedica plans include the MCP server?

All of Fedica's paid plans include the MCP server.

Where do I add Fedica in ChatGPT?

Fedica is added as a custom app from ChatGPT's Settings, under Apps. When there's no option to create an app, turn on Developer Mode in those settings first. On a ChatGPT workspace managed by an admin, the admin may have to allow custom apps before you can add Fedica.

Can ChatGPT publish a post right away?

Posts sent from ChatGPT through Fedica go out on a schedule. Give ChatGPT a date and time, including your timezone, or name the Pipeline the post should join.

How do I change a post ChatGPT already scheduled?

Ask ChatGPT for your pending posts, then tell it which one to replace and what the new version should say. Any post that hasn't been sent can be replaced. Images or video on the old post need to be uploaded again with the new one.

Why can't ChatGPT show my account overview?

Fedica builds the account overview and audience data from the account's Followers report. Run that report once in Fedica and ChatGPT can read the overview from then on.

Can ChatGPT run a new research report?

New reports are started in Fedica. ChatGPT reads analyze, compare, audit, and search reports that already exist in your account, as soon as their status shows Complete.

Is this the same MCP server Claude uses?

Yes. Fedica runs one MCP server at https://mcp.fedica.com/mcp, and it also works with Claude and Claude Code. The same Fedica account, Pipelines, and reports are available in each.

How do I test the Fedica connection in ChatGPT?

Ask ChatGPT to ping Fedica. A working connection returns the current server time, which confirms the server is reachable and your sign-in went through. The ping doesn't read or change any account data.
