X (formerly Twitter) should feel like a game. A real game – not some CRM or productivity app dressed up like a game. We are talking about the type of fun adventure that you leap straight to after work without taking your coat off.
We live for the idea that working on social media should be exhilarating. Working on anything should be exhilarating.
1. Take out the garbage once in a while and the room smells a lot nicer.
It’s the unpleasant truth that there are a lot of bots and spammers on X.
It’s a much uglier truth that there are a lot of abusive users acting like bots and spammers on X.
Here’s the good news, you can do this in one simple step with the “Suggested Accounts to Follow/Unfollow” panel in the Fedica “Dashboard”.
Social media admins of all stripes, do yourself a favour and release yourself from the tyranny of dealing with abusive followers and people you follow that abuse the privilege of your audience.
Your deserve better. What you read deeply affects how you feel.
Clean your follower/following once a week. We use our Follow/Unfollow console – all the time.
We call it a Social Diet. It is by far the easiest and the smallest change we made that made our digital social life happier.
We talk to our users all the time about how we can make Follow/Unfollow even better.
*Hit us with your ideas and we’ll surprise you by bringing it to life.
2. Yapping about technology is easy, but does it really give you answers?
Most social media marketing tools out there uses technology to reduce human repetition to some degree. This is good. This is what technology does best.
However, there are also way too many marketing tools out there filled to the max with vanity metrics and turns every integer into some excel-esque graph that provides zero insight.
The importance of measurement in the experimentation process cannot be overstated.
The result of the experiment however is as good as what you measure and what you measure with.
Great technology helps you find the link between cause and effect – that’s what tools must give answers to.
We don’t rely on guesswork. Instead we rely on our Followers Map “Time Machine” to guide our efforts towards the desired effect.
Fedica premium users can go to the “Growth/Decline” section of the Follower Analysis function
Using it, we can infer casuality by looking at each region in the world, week by week, and seeing for ourselves what the changes are – like watching the petri dishes in a lab.

3. Delight people.
The reason why we are all on social media is because there is a group of individuals putting out content that are so original and delightful that we just keep reading.
How unfortunate we can’t say the same for the majority of the content circulating around.
When you read the same rehashed lists over and over again, it really does make social media feel like work at its worst.
Change the status quo. Be the change that you want to see.
Be the first person to say what’s on your mind. Find a hashtag that actually appeals to you. Jump right in.
Delighting people is hard. Do it anyways and find yourself delighted.
